Penny Lane   This is the "Shelter in the middle of the Roundabout" as in the song Penny Lane.

This is the  Lattice Window at Laycock Abbey, Family home of Fox Talbot, This was the first subject he took after inventing the Calotype process in 1835. The system we all use today. I managed to fit myself in the window while my son took the photo, after we rearranged a few Japanese Tourists. I've included a scan from a book of  the original photo by Fox Talbot himself, of the said Lattice Window.
