Over this past winter, I've been working on photography for Nelson Crab, Inc of Tokeland. From the boats coming in, delivery of the fresh crab, processing and packing ... it's been a learning experience. The business is completely dependent upon fishing regulations, seasons, weather, whether or not the crab are biting, etc. I'll show up for a scheduled shoot and it'll be cancelled due to , well, something. The next day I'll get a call asking if I can come in right away! I want to go out on a boat, but I'm afraid I'll spend the entire day, leaning over the side. I guess if you notice some suspicious chunks washing up on the shores of Willapa Bay, you'll know I made the attempt.

Meanwhile, I had a great time yesterday, in my warm and dry studio, shooting crab!
